The Flood
loss lessens each day.
The
future becomes more clear.
Flood Loss
is metaphorically similar to human loss.
Both are
a known and predictable event, we just don’t know the when.
I, being
the glass half-full guy, am way ahead of my curve.
Having
down-shifted, prior flood, into my eighties,
I can see more clearly the eventual shift,
into the bedroom-free downstairs.
I can
visualize that room now as the movie room, a movie screen at the far end [by
the garage] with many chairs, etc. in the entrance area and just into the room,
still separated by double-curtains.
Possibly,
high up, book shelves on either side, where on non-movie days, this could be a
community library reading room. Home
also to Peter’s Book Club [sorry, moved from the Senior Center]. After school homework study hall, local
empowerment center, chess club, and tutor-help.
The
entry, main, room, I see as a daytime meeting area, in a quiet environment:
chairs, tables, blackboards, whiteboards, WiFi, rent it for $5 an hour.
The
kitchen with running water and a sink, Microwave convection oven only, tables.
Two
bathrooms kept going. Sauna/Shower, hallway bath to laundry room and full
garage.
Floor
happily as “sanded T&G plywood” with carpets as necessary.
To just
have written this, and realized what I have said,
Short of
a sermon on Sunday, this could be a Church site.
This was,
secularly, the Guerneville Community Church.
Hello Pam.
